Preface: bisexual is a closed community. This means that if you wish to post, you must join, then your membership request will go into the queue that the co-moderators check several times a week, and will probably be approved within a week.
If you wish to post in this community, please read the info below, as well as the linked documents. If you've done that and you still would like to gain posting access, please visit http://www.livejournal.com/community/join.bml?comm=bisexual and follow the instructions there. Please have patience, as it does take some time for us to respond to requests, although we try to be prompt. You may add the community to your friends page, read and comment without posting access.
Do not email us at our personal addresses, and do not leave a comment in our personal journals requesting that you be added. If you do so, you will be instructed to go back and do it the correct way, and the moderators will not grant you posting access for at least 30 days.
This community account was created as a space for LiveJournal users who are bisexual or bi-friendly to discuss and share information regarding bisexuality and bisexual community. Let's celebrate and commiserate together. Tell us how your sexuality affects your life.
This is a topic-specific community! Posts in this community need to be on-topic and conducive to discussion. Please do not use this account to post personals, links to porn sites, or advertisements of any kind. Let's keep it friendly and bisexually focussed.
This community is focused toward mature conversation. I strongly encourage teenage members who want teenage discussion to visit and join Scarleteen and/or Rainbow Realm. Rainbow Realm is a LiveJournal community; Scarleteen is an independent sex education site.
Both of these sites are specifically for teenagers. bisexual is not specifically for teenagers. It is for bisexuals of all ages who can carry on conversations on an adult level. If you are a teenage member who is desirous and capable of mature conversation, please do stay and contribute to this community. That means writing mature, intelligible entries which are conducive to discussion. Please do not post "intros" to the community. Let an intelligent post be your introduction.
Those of you who do not like the direction of this community are free to participate in other communities. Those of you who wish to participate in this one, thank you.
